Officers

Harald Braun
President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Braun serves as president and chief executive officer of Harris Stratex Networks, Inc. and is a member of its Board of Directors. Prior to joining Harris Stratex, he served as president and CEO of Siemens Networks LLC and most recently as a senior executive in Nokia Siemens Networks North America. In 2002, Mr. Braun became president, Siemens Carrier Networks Division, focused on next-generation technologies and services. From 2000-2002, he served as Siemens senior vice president and the head of Siemens Ltd. in Thailand, with responsibility for sales of the company’s next-generation network products. Before this assignment, Mr. Braun served as Siemens vice president, IP and ATM/TDM Broadband Components in Development and vice president, ATM System Integration and System Test. Mr. Braun currently serves as treasurer of the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS), and sits on the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) board. He earned an engineering degree in Telecommunication from the University of Aachen in Germany.

Sally A. Dudash
Chief Financial Officer and Principal Accounting Officer

Ms. Dudash joined the Microwave Division of Harris Corporation as division controller in October, 2003 and was promoted to vice president, controller in September, 2006. She has over 20 years of experience in financial management in both the public and private sectors. Previously, Ms. Dudash was business unit controller for the Integrated Information Communication Systems business unit of the Government Communications Systems Division of Harris. Ms. Dudash began her career with Deloitte Haskins + Sells. Ms. Dudash serves on the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Theater in Raleigh, North Carolina. She holds a bachelor's degree in general studies and a master of business administration degree from the University of Pittsburgh and is a licensed certified public accountant in the State of Florida.

Paul A. Kennard
Chief Technical Officer and Vice President, International Sales

In his role as chief technical officer and vice president, International Sales, Mr. Kennard provides overall strategic direction that positions the company in the global marketplace. Mr. Kennard joined Stratex Networks in 1996 as vice president, Engineering. He served as senior vice president, Engineering at California Microwave from 1993 to 1996. Prior to joining California Microwave, he was manager of Radio Signal Processing for Bell Northern Research and project manager for Marconi Communication Systems. Mr. Kennard holds a bachelor of science degree in Electrical Engineering and a master of science degree in Communication Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology in Manchester, UK.

John Koenig
Vice President, Product Line Management

Mr. Koenig joined Harris Government Systems in 1987 as a systems engineer working on complex multi-media communication projects. He has held various positions of increasing responsibility in Program Management and Sales/Systems Engineering , including director, Network Management Sales. Mr. Koenig was promoted to vice president of the NetBoss business unit, which oversees all aspects of the NetBoss business, and also directs the Sales, Systems and Services for the Latin American region for the Microwave Communications Division. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Western Michigan University.

Jayne Leighton
Vice President, North America and Caribbean Sales & Services

Ms. Leighton is a seasoned executive with 26 years of progressive experience leading technical, business development and sales organizations. Her success emanates from her focus on customer, company and shareholder value. Ms. Leighton has a proven track record in building organizations that deliver profitable growth within both large company and start-up environments. Her telecommunications experience spans companies including Rockwell-Collins, Alcatel, Digital Microwave Corporation and Harris Corporation. She began her career as a field engineer moving into system engineering, sales support, sales and then sales and services management. Ms. Leighton holds a Bachelor of Science from New Mexico State University.

Richard Plane
Chief Information Officer and Vice President, Information Technology Services

An industry veteran with over 25 years of experience, Mr. Plane is responsible for directing, planning, organizing and controlling all activities of the company’s Information Systems function and ensuring the effective, efficient and secure operation of all automated data processing systems. Prior to this role, he was the director, Information Technology Programs and chief technologist, Information Services for Harris Corporation, where he was responsible for the definition and consistent execution of information systems architecture, technology standards and programs. He currently serves on Cingular’s Business Markets Group advisory board, and has served as an editorial advisor for InformationWeek’s Optimize publication and on numerous customer, industry and technology advisory boards previously. Mr. Plane holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Barry University.

Heinz Stumpe
Vice President, Global Operations

Mr. Stumpe, a wireless transmission technology business veteran with more than 20 years of experience, joined Stratex Networks as director, Marketing in 1996. He was promoted to vice president, Global Accounts in 1999, vice president, Strategic Accounts in 2002 and vice president, Global Operations in April 2006. Prior to joining Stratex Networks, Mr. Stumpe worked for California Microwave from 1992 to 1996 as vice president, Operations. Prior to that, Mr. Stumpe was director, Operations for Amstrad plc, a UK-based Computer and Communications Equipment Company.

Shaun McFall
Vice President, Marketing

As vice president, Marketing, Mr. McFall provides overall direction for programs to position the company in its focus markets. Mr. McFall has been with the company since the formation of its UK subsidiary in 1989. His initial assignment was in new business development, first in the UK and later the European market. In 1994 he relocated to the company’s headquarters in San Jose, California, assuming responsibility for worldwide product marketing. He has accumulated over 20 years of experience in the wireless telecommunications industry, holding prior positions with two UK based companies: Ferranti International Signal plc. and GEC Telecommunications Ltd. Mr. McFall holds a bachelor of science degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, UK.

Steve Gilmore
Vice President, Human Resources

Mr. Gilmore provides company-wide planning and direction for the Human Resources organization. He joined Harris Corporation in October 1979 and has held various positions of increasing responsibility including director, Human Resources and director, Organization and Management Development. He has a broad business background in both commercial and government enterprises including satellite communications, ASIC and standard IC design and manufacturing, software engineering and corporate headquarters. He became vice president, Human Resources of Harris Corporation’s Microwave Communications Division in June 2005. Mr. Gilmore holds a bachelor of arts degree in Sociology from Mt. St. Mary’s University.

Ed Hutton
Vice President, Engineering

Mr. Hutton joined our company as vice president, Engineering, in February 2007. He was most recently director of software engineering at EMC from January 2002 to February of 2007. Prior to that, Mr. Hutton was vice president, Engineering for a venture-funded start-up company from 2000 to 2001. Before that he was vice president, Engineering and Product Management, at Ericsson from 1998 to 2000. Prior to these positions, Mr. Hutton held various positions of increasing responsibility at both NCR and AT&T from 1987 to 1997.

Juan B. Otero
General Counsel and Secretary

Mr. Otero joined Stratex Networks as director, Legal Affairs in July of 2002. He was promoted to general counsel in July of 2004 and to general counsel and assistant secretary in February of 2005. Prior to joining Stratex Networks, Mr. Otero was director and senior counsel for Compaq Computer Corporation and the Hewlett-Packard Company, and corporate counsel for Hitachi Data Systems. Mr. Otero has also practiced law both in the private and public sectors. Mr. Otero holds a bachelor of arts degree in International Relations from the University of California, Davis, and a doctor of law degree from the University of Colorado School of Law.

Meena Elliott
Associate General Counsel and Assistant Secretary

Ms. Elliott joined the Harris Corporation’s Microwave Communications Division in March, 2006 as the division counsel. She has over 18 years of domestic and international legal and business management experience in the private and public sector. Prior to joining the Microwave Communications Division, she was a chief counsel at the Department of Commerce. Previously, she worked at XM Satellite Radio. She began her career as an attorney with Energizer where she also served as director, International Counsel. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and doctor of law and master of business administration degrees from Washington University in St. Louis.

Carol A. Goudey
Corporate Treasurer and Assistant Secretary

Ms. Goudey joined Stratex Networks as corporate treasurer and assistant secretary in 1996. Prior to joining Stratex Networks, she served as acting treasurer of California Micro Devices Corporation, a manufacturer of semiconductor devices. Ms. Goudey also held the position of corporate treasurer at both Ungermann-Bass, Inc., a network systems company, and System Industries, Inc., a computer peripheral company. Ms. Goudey holds a bachelor of arts degree in Mathematics from San Jose State University and an associate of arts degree in Accounting from De Anza College.
