• Technology innovations. Five decades of industry firsts, covering a wide range of innovations, from pioneering electronic components to breakthroughs in architecture, capacity, supported protocols and radio configurations to pioneering integrated network management systems.
• Patent leadership. Innovations driven by a broad and expanding patent portfolio. We currently hold more than 90 U.S. and 70 international patents, with over 40 U.S. and 80 international patents pending.
• Certifications. Certifications include TL 9000, the recognized standard for Quality excellence in telecommunications, and the Metro Ethernet Forum’s MEF 9 and 14 requirements for Ethernet transport.

Compliant with FCC regulations in the U.S., the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) and the Radio Equipment & Telecommunications Terminal Equipment (R&TTE) directives in Europe and regional and local regulations around the world.
• Standards body leadership. We play a leading role in the Mobile Backhaul Working Group of the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) and the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS). The MEF group is tasked with defining and promoting carrier Ethernet service requirements in future mobile backhaul networks. ATIS is one of the most influential standards bodies in North America, with a global reach.
   
  In the European Telecommunications Standardization Institute (ETSI), we play active roles in the Technical Committee on Harmonized Standards (TM4) and the Technical Committee on Reconfigurable Radio Systems (RRS), and serve in an overview role in the Broadband Radio Access Networks Committee (BRAN). In the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), we participate in the U.S. Technical Advisory Committee on Study Group 5 (Terrestrial Systems)—in particular Working Group 5C (Fixed Wireless Systems).
   
  In the U.S., we actively participate in the Fixed Wireless Communications Coalition and in the Wireless Communications Association Government Relations committee which deals with spectrum and other telecom issues. In Canada, we actively participate in the Radio Advisory Board of Canada’s Fixed Wireless Committee, which establishes Canadian standards and procedures.
