NetBoss XT^®

The NetBoss XT application suite enables reliable, carrier-class, scalable resource management and service assurance solutions. Four configurations address different customer applications: NetBoss XE Element Manager, NetBoss XA Alarm/Event Collector, NetBoss XD Domain Manager and NetBoss XM Manager of Managers.

The XT suite offers solution flexibility and a common advanced technology foundation designed to lower operational costs and maximize your network investment.

Applications and utilities in the NetBoss XT family include:

• NetBoss XE™. Developing an element manager is costly and time-consuming and can distract you from your core business of beating your competition with great services or products. By choosing NetBoss XE as your element manager, your engineering team or our NetBoss experts can customize your system quickly, rather than starting from scratch to develop a new manager. You save time and money and get your products to market faster.
• NetBoss XA™. Managing the high number of alarms and events in a large, geographically dispersed network is a unique challenge. The NetBoss XA Alarm/Event Collector prioritizes incoming events, reducing alarm/event volume and expediting the most important ones. This ensures smooth, efficient operation and lowers network costs. For added flexibility, operators can also apply alarm/event management policies to collected information.
• NetBoss XD™. Our domain manager offers multi-technology, multi-vendor resource management for any number of network devices and events. Advanced event processing and filtering let you display only the events of interest, rather than a flood of lower-priority events. With efficient filtering, operators can more quickly find, focus on and correct network problems, reducing troubleshooting and repair times and minimizing outage durations.
• NetBoss XM™. For large-scale networks, our manager of managers offers multi-technology, multi-vendor resource management for any number of network devices and events. With highly sophisticated management features, operators can find and focus on issues, determine root causes and isolate trouble spots without wading through thousands of lower-level events.
• NetBoss XADE™. Our agent development environment lets you quickly and easily build new, customized management agents using a graphical interface. This capability makes it easy and cost-effective for you to support new elements and systems as they become available. It also ensures that you can manage any legacy element not supported by our existing library of management agents.
• NetBoss Reporter. The key to successful management of an enterprise-wide network is information—large quantities of reliable data delivered in formats that allow you to make decisions quickly and effectively. NetBoss Reporter is a multi-output, Web-based system for sophisticated reporting, analysis and information delivery.
• Executive Dashboard. As a network operator, you are committed to quality of service at the highest level. Executive Dashboard helps you deliver top-tier service quality by quickly and clearly conveying critical information—such as network status and usage—to the busy managers and executives in your organization.
