Efficient terminal solutions

The Eclipse platform includes a range of application-specific indoor units (IDUs) designed to optimize costs in PDH, Super-PDH, SDH/SONET and high-speed Ethernet networks.

IDUsp

Eclipse IDUsp enables convenient and cost-effective wireless terminals for the low- to medium-capacity PDH links often found at the edge of backhaul networks. The IDUsp is a standard-performance indoor unit designed to operate with the ODU300sp outdoor unit to provide the most cost-effective solution available. Two IDUsp options are available:

  • IDUsp 4x: supports link speeds of 4xE1 with QPSK modulation
  • IDUsp 16x: supports link speeds from 4 to 16xE1 with QPSK modulation; hot standby 1+1 protection available by adding a second IDUsp 16x

IDU 20x

IDU 20x supports programmable Super-PDH link speeds from 4xE1 to 20xE1, or 4xDS1 to 16xDS1, with modulations from QPSK to 128 QAM. Features include 1+1 protection and space diversity, with hitless receiver switching to enable longer paths over rough terrain.

IDU 155o

The Eclipse IDU 155o is a compact, high-capacity indoor unit that supports a single, cost effective STM-1/OC-3 radio path. It provides license-exempt, software-selectable modulation at 16, 64 or 128 QAM, allowing you to customize link designs for either longer reach or higher-frequency efficiency. Features include 1+1 protection and space diversity, with hitless receiver switching to enable longer paths over rough terrain.

IDU ES

The Eclipse IDU ES indoor unit is a part of the Eclipse Data Solutions portfolio, and offers an efficient and highly scalable high-speed Ethernet transport solution. A compact 1RU IDU supports selectable throughputs up to 200 Mbps, with a built-in Layer 2 switch, four interface ports and full quality of service controls.
